SALOMÉ PERLI - «LES CHANTS DE L'ÂME»

Les chants de l’âme (Songs of the Soul) by Salomé Perli embodies an original artistic fusion, blending experimental pop, contemporary jazz and minimalist music. This virtuous cycle of semi-written and semi-improvised compositions is distinguished by its subtle contrasts and its propensity to take risks. Like a captivating journey into the heart of our emotions, Salomé Perli’s words accompany a deep spiritual quest, that of the healing of the soul and the spirit.

This project was born in the spring of 2023 during a residency at the Musical Experimentation Center in Chicoutimi, in a remarkable orchestral form, bringing together a jazz septet and a string quartet. Today, it is redesigned to be presented by a jazz-experimental sextet, using a multitude of electro-acoustic tools to fully immerse the audience in this meditative experience.
