Triio

Founded in 2012 by Alex Fournier, Triio has grown from a quartet to a sextet.
The group’s cinematically styled compositions emphasise the interaction between the musicians and the mutual influence shared between written music and free, collective improvisation. This concert includes music from their two albums. Released in June 2019, the band’s self-titled debut was critically acclaimed, and the second album, Six-ish Plateaus, will be released soon, along with the Magnetic Dreaming EP (with support from the Canada Council for the Arts).
