Founded in 2011, the Jean-Nicolas Trottier 10tet is an ensemble that brings together ten of the best musicians in Montreal’s jazz scene. For this concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of the ensemble, the JNT 10tet offers the audience an opportunity to attend the live recording of their second album, their first one being Blue Lines released in 2012. For the occasion, the band will present a suite in seven movements called Chakras, as well as other compositions by Jean-Nicolas Trottier that have never been recorded. It will be an evening of new music, bringing to center stage not only the collective, but also each of the musicians of the ensemble as soloists.
